The soul can tell and can't rely
when lips speak half truths and entire lies
What hugs try to hide, the eyes convey
what the heart knows inside and the words don't say
When the game is complete do we tremble in fear?
Who do you stand with when the smoke is all cleared?
This childish game we insist to play
is that what keeps us close each day?
Hearts lie shattered and bleeding inside
as red doves that have dropped with a shot from the sky.
Yet drops from a shattered heart make no sound
but still are like rubies spilling to the ground.
The heart and the soul you can't hear them cry
when your lips and your touch hide the unspoken lies.

Scattered
Shaken breath, rolling tears , drowning in a sea of fears.
Truths unspoken can surely calm, the haunting wreckage of the storm.
Drifting in a ocean of ignorance, searching for the life vest to take a stance.
Portioned out in limited amounts, going north, east, west, and never south
In pieces and parts and parts and specs, where you are is what your heart reflects.
Ever standing at your back, hoping to bring what you feel you lack.
While you continue to travel on, next time you seek will I gone?
Not knowing if to go or stay, living that pressure every day.
Waiting to search, searching to find, trying to catch up from behind
When you turn around and I’m not there, will you come from me, or just not care?
Trying to created larger pieces of you, to have more and to hold on to
Always longer than should have been ,wishing you here again and again.
Feeling you go before you leave, knowing you’re not really here with me.
Standing together yet, miles apart, being out of this moment from the very start.
Not feeling a chance, not willing to try, longing for hope and coming up dry
Scrounging for seconds and finding some, then searching for moments that never come.
Unable to build hours of memories true, unable to build true moments with you.
You've close your heart within yourself, I've placed my heart back on the shelf.

U vs YOU (1,000 Michaels)
U vs You
Toe to toe, face to face
You fight your fears in a state of grace.
One on one and man to man
Willing to fight, ready to stand
1,000 Mikeys standing strong
Some must die, and some belong
Each one armed with sword and shield
Stepping onto the battle field
A man of love vs. man felt failed
Both keep their hearts within a jail
The heart of love longing to be free
The failed heart rests complacently
Man of Pride vs. Humility
One can’t live on, who will it be?
Both cannot survive within
Humility dies where pride begins
A man of stone vs. man of Steele
Each knowing how the other feels
Desperately struggling to survive
But if one wins then the other dies
So many pieces of ones self
Who’s to be upon the shelf?
Judgment is hard of who will be
And kill off so many parts of me
Raging, grabbing, blocking stabbing
Coming down with heavy blow
Searching, pleading, soul lies bleeding
Not knowing when or where to go.
When the battle ends and the smoke is cleared
Which Mike will parish? Which stands revered?
Each day in the mirror when you search your eyes
You decide which Mikey dies.

Because Somone Else Gave
Because Someone Else Gave
When Holidays come do we start to spend
As a token of what we can’t say?
It is making up for time unspent
of the things
we should do everyday?
As we open our boxes and stocking and bags
Wrapped in nice little paper and bows.
Do we scoff at a trinket and wonder the cost
With a smirk and upturned nose?
How often do we simply brush gifts aside
Unwelcome and left in the shade?
Forgetting the only reason we have received
Was because somebody else also gave?
The importance of giving is a key part of life
remember it down thru the age?
God loved us so much
And for our lives to touch
His only begotten… he gave.
So unselfish a gift he presented the earth
a savior to show us the way
for there is no other perfected enough
to give us great hope every day.
This only begotten he sent us,
his life was to make us all free
his focus unwavering
his teachings of love
instructing us just how to be
While his time here on earth was not very long
his impact will surely amaze
his path clearly marked
from the time of the start
until now in these latter days
when his time came to suffer the sins
of each child, woman and man
his body then bled
and the pains of us shed
he would not deviate from the plan.
The only begotten given to the earth
to save the sons of man
then have him self again to us
to fulfill Heavenly Father’s plan.
Do we take this as trinkets we discard to the side
cuz it’s not what we wanted to get?
Do we scoff at how little money was spent
and compare the value met?
In all that you purchases with checks and with cards
and with cash and coupons on hand
how often do you think of the love you can give
to him, your fellow man?
Real Love can’t be found
in pretty wrapped boxes
or stocking and festive bags
the greatest of gifts can be found any place
ours was in swaddling rags
these rags held a baby brought into the world
by the father , who wanted to give
and again these rags were draped on the one
who died so that you might live.
When the time comes upon us
once again to show just a token of love
Do we spend our hard cash on
nick nacks and stuff
or do we take example from above
Instead of gifts with the glitter and glow
and lights that go flashing all day
Remember the only reason you have received…
was because someone, with love, for you gave.

Sibling Ties
Sibling Ties
We started as family in Heaven
Everyone knew they belonged
A Heavenly Mother and Father
and billions of Siblings strong.
we gathered in grand council
and each agreed to life
but one of our dear siblings
had to be the sacrifice.
A conflict in the glory
a trembling of the veil
a grand battle in the family and
we cried when Lucifer fell.
Our family then, divided
some siblings forever lost
A plan of salvation created
but there would be a cost.
In turn our foreordination
Expectations and blessings high
But there was no other
‘cept Jesus, our brother
to be born, so he could die.
Our lives on earth would vary
some poor and weak and sad
but siblings ties from heaven
should make things not so bad.
each struggle’s would be different
God's love for us, so real.
Don’t for get our elder brother agreed
to level the playing field.
Our Heavenly father watches
sitting on his throne above
at this training ground called earth
wondering "where is that sibling love?"
"I sent them all down together
So they could not forget
to teach and support one another
and encourage those they've met.
They turn they backs on each other
let petty things come to be
This is not the plan, my kids
Not sibling rivalry
Remember our first battle?
1/3 of billions of host
Walked out on the rest of the family
Whose side are you on most?
In the final family reunion
Will you greet with loving eyes?
Or will shame and embarrassment fill your soul
For forgetting those sibling ties?

ROCKED AND ROLLED
Our father’s love
our spirits bought
he sent a son to pay the cost
The angels cheered
the angels sang
soon would come a king to reign
The Heaven’s rocked
and the heaven’s rolled
we found salvation for our soul
He grew to serve
Within the masses
Touching every life he passes
the sick he healed
the weary he held
picking up all those who fell
he walked the waters
the mountains move
evil departs when he comes through
the creatures hush
and elements silence
at the majesty of his excellence
he gathered all
no soul emitted
through him each one would be acquitted
The Saints did sing
and the heaven’s roared
Cheering our Hero for ever more
The hand of a baby
the hand of a son
outstretch to everyone
they healed the sick
they carried the weak
feed us the food that we would seek
they clasped in prayer
they bled in pain
then pierced with nails they bled again.
His eye’s with sorry
then they raised
looking toward heaven, he easily forgave
Born to die
so we could live
eternal life he came to give
Then Heaven’s rocked
and the Heaven’s rolled
we have salvation for our soul.
